Okay, not going to lie, I am pretty proud of this one.  This is small 3″ compartment I welded up to mount where my stater used to be.  This will be used to hold/hide my coil, fuses and some wiring.

I used a 3″ piece of exhaust piping and a piece of sheet metal welded to one end.  Could of mounting tabs left laying around to bolt right to the older starter mounting holes.

I added some foam padding that came with my Lithium battery for my ’83 XS650 Cafe Racer so take up some extra space and hold the coil from bouncing around inside. IMG_0228

Nice and snug and not pressed down all the way, about another 1″ or so to go.IMG_0229

Mounted up right where the starter used to be.  Looks great and hides a lot of stuff from view.  IMG_0227
