UPDATE: I removed the fender and welded on tabs for a fender to mount at a later date!

Frame apart for some finishing touches, fender, and tank mounts.

I know these aren’t the best pictures but here is how I did my rear fender. Chain was used as a spacer so that everything was even and when the tire warms up it wouldn’t rub anywhere funny.

I hunted all over for a fender that I liked and couldn’t come up with anything that fit the way I wanted and kept the XS650 feel. So, I took the original XS650 fender and cut it up.  I welded it in place because I hate the look of the fender struts and no one is going to be sitting on there so weight it not an issue. The original mounting holes will be used to mount some small blinkers and hide them out of the way to keep the clean bobber look.

I know again with the welding but I will be cleaning everything up before powder coating.
